20XXpo is funded through Kickstarter on an all-or-nothing model. The campaign launches May 1, 2026 with a goal of $87,000. Reward tiers include early-bird weekend badges, virtual badges for remote attendees, exclusive merchandise, and a commemorative Memorial Blu-Ray.
Mega May is a month-long livestream event running April 30 through June 1, 2026, attempting to complete every Mega Man game ever released. That’s 769 hours of continuous Mega Man content across Twitch and YouTube. Yes. We plan on being online and live for the entire duration that it will be May 2026 somewhere on earth.
20XXpo is designed for fans everywhere. A Virtual Badge provides live access to concerts, panels, guest Q&As, and exclusive programming through the official Discord server.
Every stage gets its own dedicated stream: Main Events, Mega Man-athon, Panels, Game Room, and content made specifically for virtual attendees. The Mega Man-athon charity live stream is available to everyone. The Virtual Badge unlocks the rest of the event.
20XXpo isn’t a first-year team running a first-year idea. The organizers have spent over a decade producing events at MAGFest, including seven Mega Man-athons and magFAST. The Mega Man-athon became the world’s largest Mega Man charity marathon, raising thousands of dollars for Child’s Play Charity, drawing millions of unique viewers, and growing a volunteer operation of more than 70 people at its peak.
All seven Mega Man-athons were sponsored by Capcom and MAGFest, with additional support from partners including FanGamer and The Yetee.
The stages that 20XXpo is building on aren’t hypothetical. Over seven events, the Mega Man-athon has hosted Manami Matsumae (composer of the original Mega Man), Takashi Tateishi (composer of Mega Man 2), and Keiji Inafune, the “Father of Mega Man,” who visited the Mega Man-athon 4 stage at MAGFest and posed with the event’s original poster art.
Musical guests have included Mega Ran (the only hip-hop artist officially licensed by Capcom to produce Mega Man music), The Protomen, The Megas, DJ Cutman, Kristoffer Maddigan (composer of the Cuphead soundtrack), and dozens more across nerdcore, chiptune, and live performance. The stage has also featured creators like Jirard “The Completionist” Khalil, DwangoAC and TASBot, My Life in Gaming, Ash Paulsen (Good Vibes Gaming), Inti Creates (developers of the Mega Man Zero and Azure Striker Gunvolt series), and Matt Papa (MegaMattTV), a games localization professional known for his work on the Mega Man family of titles.
This is a team that has shared a stage with the people who made, scored, and celebrated Mega Man for four decades. The relationships are real. The experience is proven.
The team behind 20XXpo brings more than ten years of hands-on experience in gaming event production, live broadcasting, community operations, and volunteer management. This is not a group learning how to run events. This is a group that has been doing it for over a decade.
20XXpo is the next step.
